The Kindergarten Program at a country garden EARLY CHILDHOOD CENTRES aims at introducing the child to a wide variety of topics. It builds on what the child has learnt in the previous years (practical life, sensorial and language).
The Absorbent Mind
The Kindergarten Program takes advantage of the ‘absorbent mind’ stage that occurs in all children under six years of age. This means that the child will absorb information that they are introduced to without much effort at all. By the time your child starts school in a Queensland school, the ‘absorbent mind’ stage has passed forever, and the child will have to work harder at learning new information introduced to them.
At a country garden EARLY CHILDHOOD CENTRES we believe it is important to give your child the best start to primary school as possible.
What is the difference between a State/Private School Preparatory Year and the program at a country garden EARLY CHILDHOOD CENTRES?
At a country garden EARLY CHILDHOOD CENTRES the children are introduced to a wide variety of topics including:
— Language
— Mathematics
— Geography
— Botany
— Arts & crafts
— Indoor/Outdoor play
— Music and Dance
Children are given the freedom to choose activities that interest them and learn at their own pace.
(see our Kindergarten Year curriculum).
The State/Private School Preparatory program is purely play-based.
