Cultural Activities (All age groups)
Each month a country garden EARLY CHILDHOOD CENTRES hold a cultural day. During this time the children explore the traditions, national costume, music and foods of different cultures from around the world.
Other Montessori Topics (Various age groups)
- Geography
— children learn about the map of the world, the Australian Continent etc.
- Botany
— children use puzzles, word cards to learn about the parts of the plant, tree etc.
- Anatomy
— children learn the parts of the body by using an anatomy model
- Music
— Music plays an important part in the life of the a country garden Early Childhood Centres, with the children participating in singing and dancing activities
- Visits from Community Organisations
— The centres get regular visits from the Police and Fire Service who give talks to the children and demonstrate their equipment allowing the children to become familiar with the Emergency Services and the role they pay in their community
- Excursions
— The older children participate in visits to local museums and places of interest where they get exposure to local history and culture
