a country garden EARLY CHILDHOOD CENTRES provide on-site prepared, nutritious meals for the children attending the centre (parents may need to provide food for children with special dietary needs). The centres promote healthy eating which is based on the guidelines set out by the National Health Council (Caring for Children in Care, NSW Health Department).
The staff adopt strict hygienic practises when handling food at the centre. They teach the children about good eating through their general group discussions and when interacting with the children during meal times.
