The History of A Country Garden Early Childhood Centres
Founded in 1996 by Carol and Leo Keutman, A Country Garden began with a vision of a nurturing, home-like learning environment. With Carol’s background in special needs education and a passion for early learning, Willow House was born—the first Montessori centre in Toowoomba.
In 2004, Carol’s daughter Jane and her husband, Mark Naug, joined the journey, opening Jacaranda House. Nearly 30 years later, our family-run centres continue to offer trusted, high-quality care shaped by experience, passion, and a deep love of learning.
